The Scottish sensation is creative waves around Europe with his incredible skills and it won’t be long before he joins one of the biggest clubs in the world. Here are 10 facts about the ‘Mini Messi’:

1. Ryan Gauld was born on December 15, 1995 in Aberdeen, Scotland.

2. Gauld joined Brechin City in 2003 as an 8-year-old and represented them for three years before being spotted and bought by Scottish Premier League club Dundee United in 2006.

3. The attacking midfielder made his debut in the 2011-2012 season in the 2-0 victory against Motherwell.

4. Gauld made his full debut this year in April in the match versus St. Johnstone and even managed to score a goal.

5. The 2013-2014 season has seen Gauld make 18 appearances and score 6 goals.

6. He has represented Scotland in the Under-19 level, where he managed to amass 2 goals in 8 appearances.

7. Gauld received a call up for the Scotland Under-21 squad this year and made his debut in November against Georgia.

8. Dundee United announced that Gauld had signed a contract on his 18th birthday keeping him with the club until 2017.
