Sir Alex on Robert Lewandowski transfer: "I can find room for anybody"

Manchester United Press Conference

According to the reports in The Independent, Sir Alex Ferguson has added a new twist to the Robert Lewandowski saga when he stated that Manchester United are ready to move for Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski by claiming he ‘can find room (in his team) for anybody’.

The Polish striker at the moment is the darling of European football after a magnificent performance against Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid which included 4 goals in their Champions League semi final 1st leg tie.

According to some reports, it is believed that Lewandowski has already agreed a move to a club, initially thought to be Bayern Munich considering that Manchester United themselves having a problem of plenty as far as striking options is concerned. United are in possession of 4 strikers and a move to Old Trafford was deemed unlikely, but Sir Alex as usual has reignited the rumours, speaking about the striker and a potential move for him.

Here’s what Sir Alex said: “Dortmund fans are not going to be happy and I don’t think they will sell him to Bayern Munich.

“I think they’ll let his contract run out, or sell him somewhere else. Have I got room for him? I can find room for anybody.”
