Julien Weigl scored a screamer last night

What is the most amazing way to score your first goal for your club?

Julien Weigl knows the answer and boy did he execute to perfection. With the scores tied at 0-0 on 43 minutes, Weigl majestically stepped past two players and smashed the ball into the Sporting net. William Carvalho and Elias were helpless as Weigl strode past them, and struck a shot which nestled perfectly in the bottom corner.

It was an important goal, as it helped Dortmund to a win which meant they matched Real Madrid’s result vs Legia in the other group game. This means that finishing top of the group remains in Dortmund’s hands.

Social Media also went wild over the wonder goal, and the following are a few reactions that went viral :

What makes the feat even more impressive is the fact that Weigl is only 20 years old. The youngster has a great future ahead of him if this goal is any mark of his true ability.

Dortmund are surely lucky to have the midfield player in their ranks. He is tactically astute, has amazing ball playing capabilities, and from what we witnessed last night, a powerful shot on goal.

The youngster is also extremely liked by all those at the club, and they have said that the youngster is humble, modest, and keen to learn.

Weigl has been linked to Manchester City and Barcelona in the past, and now it is easy to see why. While such interest from foreign clubs with greater resources have turned many a youngster’s head, Weigl seems to be happy at Dortmund.

"I got lots and lots of playing time, and I am really happy of course,” said the 21-year-old recently in an interview.

The goal can be seen below:

It surely deserves to be SK’s #amaze of the day.
