Lionel Messi’s contract situation at Barcelona has been the talking point of the day. There were reports that Lionel Messi had decided not to renew his contract but those rumors have now been proven false

#1. Carlo Ancelotti says he will never manage Atletico Madrid

Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti has said he would never think of taking the Atletico Madrid job in his lifetime. The Italian has been in charge of some of the biggest clubs in the world including Real Madrid and has won countless trophies with those clubs.

Atletico and Real are the fiercest of rivals and ahead of their derby the manager spoke about the importance of respect in these high tension occasions. Ancelotti will get a taste of the biggest rivalry in Germany this weekend when Dortmund play Munich

#2. Mesut Ozil buys new house in London

There have been reports that Ozil has bought a new house in London for a large  sum of money with several suggesting he has decided to extend his stay with Arsenal. The talks have been going on for some time now and fans were starting to get worried but it looks like both parties have reached a common ground.

Ozil’s wage demands were holding back the deal but it might not be too long before the deal is done.

#5. Daniel Sturridge wants to leave Liverpool
