Spain's World Cup qualifiers team: Juan Mata makes it to the squad, Soldado handed the pass

Spain national coach Vicente Del Bosque has made a few changes to the team ahead of their World Cup qualifiers next weekend against Georgia and Belarus on October 11 and 15 respectively.

Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata, who failed to appear in the last three matches, has been recalled while Spurs’ striker Roberto Soldado, who scored in the 2-2 draw against Chile last time around, has been dropped with David Villa taking his place.

The Atletico Madrid pair of Mario Suarez and Koke retained their places alongside Real Madrid star performer Isco.

Alberto Moreno of Sevilla has been handed his first call-up, with Juanfran and Gerard Pique also returned at the back for the Group I fixtures.

Del Bosque has had a lot of injury concerns as stars such as Santi Cazorla, Xabi Alonso, Fernando Torres and Jordi Alba are all out due to their respective injuries.

Spain are at the top of Group I with 14 points coming in 6 games.

Spain’s 22-man team for the qualifiers is as follows : Iker Casillas, Pepe Reina, Victor Valdes,Alvaro Arbeloa, Juanfran, Gerard Pique , Raul Albiol, Sergio Ramos, Ignacio Monreal , Alberto Moreno,Sergio Busquets , Mario Suarez , Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Koke , Isco, Pedro Rodrigues, Jesus Navas , Cesc Fabregas,Alvaro Negredo , Juan Mata, David Silva , David Villa.
