Spanish Super Cup 2nd Leg: Probable Real Madrid and FC Barcelona LineUps

All eyes across the globe will be on Spanish Football once again tonight at 23.00hrs Spain local time, when FC Barcelona will host Real Madrid in the 2nd - and definitive - leg of the Spanish Super Cup Final. The 1st leg finished 2 – 2 and the title is up for grabs tonight as Real Madrid must score while Barça has the away goal advantage. The kick off time is late, but this is due to the fact that the UEFA Champions League preliminaries take place tonight & the Spanish Super Cup cannot coincide with these games.

Spanish Sports paper “Marca” put this diagram on their front cover today & also gave their idea of the possible starting 11 teams for both sides:

FC Barcelona: Valdes, Alves, Mascherano, Pique, Abidal, Busquets, Iniesta, Xavi, Alexis, Messi & Villa.

According to the papers “expert journalists”, Busquets, Pique and Xavi come in from the start thus strengthening key areas, especially the midfield. There is talk that Cesc Fabregas may get some minutes if things are favourable for Barça towards the end.

Real Madrid: Casillas, Ramos, Pepe, Carvalho, Marcelo, Khedira, Xabi Alonso, Coentrao, Ozil , Ronaldo & Benzema.

The observers are pretty confident Coentrao will start ahead of Di Maria. However, some media sources speak of a possible big surprise, like Higuain starting ahead of Benzema. This is because at the last training session the Argentine looked to be part of the starting 11 set-up.

In any case, these ARE NOT the final line-ups & are totally speculative.
