Stats: Who is the worst passer at Manchester United?

Carlo Ancelotti recently created some controversy when he said that mid-fielder Angel Di Maria had an issue with passing the ball during his time at Real Madrid.The consensus among some were that the Italian manager was probably venting out his frustration for selling the Argentian to Manchester United, earlier this summer.

However, a deeper study indicates that the 55-year-old was indeed right about the 26-year-old’s ability to pass the ball. Di Maria found himself at third position during his four-year stay at Real Madrid between 2010 and 2014, when it came to the failed pass percentage. Alvaro Morata leads the list with 34.7%.

If one thought his passing ability will improve after he was signed on by the Red Devils, well they were in for a rude shock. The mid-fielder tops the list with 20.9% failed passes, almost 4% more than second-placed Adnan Januzaj.
