Raheem Sterling today finally put pen to paper on a new long-term deal at Liverpool FC. There were widespread rumors suggesting that the 18-year old might move away from Anfield, with Manchester United and Arsenal on the lookout for the youngster.

The youngster, who made his debut last season in a 2-1 home loss to Wigan in the league, has featured regularly under Brendan Rodgers, and is the latest player to commit his long term future to the club after Luis Suarez, Martin Skrtel, Daniel Agger, Brad Jones, Suso Fernandez and Jonjo Shelvey did the same earlier in the season.
