“It's not easy (coming into the Premier League aged 35) but he's in terrific shape. He ran for the full 90 minutes today and worked so hard both with the ball and without it,” said Gerrard to BT Sport.

“He's enjoying his football - he's a world-class player and he's now proving it week in, week out. The worry for United would be if he got an injury, or he has a dip in form, is there enough goals around him? The likes of Pogba, Mata, Rooney they do have to help him by chipping in a bit more,” said the Liverpool legend.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was under fire after the player had let his team down by failing to finish some easy chances earlier on this season. But the player has come out and silenced his critics by scoring a brace against West Brom, which takes his tally to 11 goals in 16 league games, 7 of which have come in the last 7 games alone.

These comments come after Manchester United won their 7th game in their last 10 games in which they’ve been unbeaten as well. Mourinho who had come under a lot of fire earlier for failing to make an impact but the manager now looks settled in and Manchester United will hope that their form keeps up. The Red Devils have won three consecutive games in the league now and will hope that their momentum continues.

Mourinho seems to have turned things around and the team now sits at the 6th position, 7 points from the 7th spot. The club will surely try their best to get to the top 4 and get Champions League action as the league title seems more or less out of their reach.
