The much-hyped wedding ceremony of Indian captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma lived up to expectations as eminent personalities from all spheres made an appearance in the event.

Virat Kohli started his new innings after he tied the knot with Anushka at a private ceremony in Tuscany, Italy earlier this month. The reception was held on December 22 in Delhi, to which close family friends were invited.

Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri, who married earlier this month, attended the high-profile ceremony alongside his wife Sonam Bhattacharya.

Chhetri, who posted a picture of himself with Kohli, Anushka and Sonam on Instagram during the reception, summed up the click in a rather quirky manner, completely negating the fact that both him and Kohi are the captains of the respective national teams.

Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal also graced the auspicious occasion with her presence.

Tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi was also present at the venue with his wife, actor Lara Dutta, while Mumbai City FC owner and Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor made the evening even more glamorous, along with Indian Super League co-owner Nita Ambani.
