From the eastern province of Kasai, this video features a clip of one of most bizarre incidents you would ever see.
A lightning struck in the middle of a match between Bena Tshadi and Basanga, and killed almost 11 young people aged between 20 and 35 years while 30 other people had received burns. Everyone on Basanga, the home team, survived.
“The athletes from [Home team] Basanga curiously came out of this catastrophe unscathed,” Kinshasa daily newspaper L’Avenir said.
According to BBC, the two sides were drawing 1-1 in the match in eastern Kasai Province when the lightning struck the visiting team.
