Thierry Henry says Barcelona will have doubts amongst themselves

Thierry Henry believes Barcelona will now be rattled

Former Barcelona forward, Thierry Henry, has claimed that Barcelona players will now have doubts and reservations about the way they play especially in the big matches. The Catalans just lost to Real Madrid in the El Clasico ending a 39-match unbeaten streak and Henry believes this defeat will stay with them for a while to come.

Speaking as a Sky Sports pundit after the game, the former Barcelona and Arsenal winger also praised the way Zinedine Zidane had set up his team and all the good work Real Madrid had done to neutralise the Barcelona attack. That, he said, is what will start to create some doubt in the minds of the Barcelona stars.

"Knowing Barcelona and the Catalans there will be a little doubt," the Frenchman told Sky Sports.

"Just one loss can create doubts, we will see in the coming week. I still think the league is done, but I want to see the impact in the coming games.

"Real deserved the win. In the second half they were the better team, even going down 1-0, then down to 10 men. Real come out with a lot of confidence while Barcelona have to play Atletico next."

The Frenchman was also full of praise for his former national teammate Zidane who according to him 'set up' the team's midfield perfectly.

"I like the way Zidane set up the team," he said.

"They were not scared, they put pressure on when they needed to and kept their composure at 1-0 down.

"They were trying to play from the back under pressure and they looked like a team with the right balance. Zidane understood he had to take care of the midfield, especially against Barcelona. People wanted to know if tactically he could do something against Barcelona and he did."

Barcelona now take on Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League in the quarter-finals of the tournament before travelling to San Sebastian to take on Real Sociedad in the Liga BBVA. The Catalans have a 6-point lead over Atletico who themselves are only a point above cross-city rivals Real Madrid.
