Veteran Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has revealed his desire to star along with former Real Madrid and Manchester United star David Beckham.
Cruise believes that Beckham, who spent the last year in USA with the LA Galaxy, is tailored made for movies and the Mission Impossible star is said to be waiting for the right script to star Beckham. Cruise added that Beckham, who played a cameo role starring as himself in the ‘Goal’ series, would make a perfect villain.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s UK premiere of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Cruise told the Daily Mirror:
“I’d love to do action movies with (David) Beckham. He would be great, he could kick ass. David would have to teach me to play soccer first.
“He would make a great baddie.”
The newspaper also quoted a source saying that David would only star with Tom Cruise.
“David has been linked with Hollywood a number of times, but Tom is the only one he’d ever take up, he thinks Tom’s a legend. He’d still like to have a sporting element to it. Tom’s a sporty guy, too, so any collaboration would be about something competitive.”
The England international will soon be out of his LA Galaxy contract and will possibly head to France to join the nouveau rich club Paris Saint-Germain.
