3. Aymeric Laporte: Athletic Bilbao to Manchester City, £57.2m

The 23-year-old has signed a contract until 2023 after the Premier League leaders paid his £57.2m release clause to Athletic Bilbao. He is Pep Guardiola’s sixth signing of the 2017/18 season.

The Frenchman was named in La Liga’s 2013/14 Team of the Year. In the 2015/16 season, he helped Athletic Bilbao to Supercopa de Espana victory.

Laporte will be eligible to be included in City's Champions League squad.
