Everybody knows that Karim Benzema is one of Zinedine Zidane's most favourite players, and this would mean that Mariano Diaz's career at the Bernabeu is as good as over. The Dominican striker had barely got any game time even before the Frenchman's arrival.
He has started only once and scored the same amount in LaLiga since joining from Olympique Lyon a year ago. Zinedine Zidane had been Mariano's main reason for leaving Real Madrid for Lyon back in 2017.
He was handed zero LaLiga starts by the manager in the 2016/17 season before being sold by Madrid to the French outfit. Now with Zinedine Zidane returning, it would be better for Real Madrid to sell the misfiring striker.
