David Unsworth won the PL 2 title and has slowly transformed Everton's academy from an in-between hub of great talent but limited performance at the youth levels towards achieving a status as one of the best youth sides in the United Kingdom.
His player development skills have borne results already with Tom Davies in the first team and players like Jonjoe Kenny impressing in their limited appearances for the senior side.
Considering most of last year's PL2 winning squad is on loan at the Championship and other lower division sides, Unsworth's young Blues are remarkably second on the back of a four-match winning streak.
