#5 Nike - The Switch

Cristiano Ronaldo commercials don't come better than this epic spot by Nike called The Switch, which was released just in time for Euro 2016. The commercial stars with Ronaldo being his usual epic self while representing his country against England.

While celebrating yet another beautiful goal, Ronaldo trips over the barricades and collides with Lee, an unsuspecting ballboy, resulting in severe concussions for the duo. However, we realise later that a concussion was the least of the duo's problems, with the collision causing Ronaldo to wake up and Lee and Lee to wake up as...you guessed it...Ronaldo. What follows is a comedy of errors and some brilliant situations, including a supercar getting very banged up due to the driver's lack of skill.

The Freaky Fridayish body switch did little to dampen the duo's love for football, and the two soon found themselves facing each other once again on the football field while representing their two countries. We refuse to spoil the commercial's ending for you, as it's just too good to be missed.

Watch it for its brilliant humour, Ronaldo's rather excellent acting, a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see CR7 playing for Manchester City (sort of) as well as cameos from the who's who of the football world.

Okay, so maybe Ronaldo wasn’t the sole star of this brilliant Nike commercial released in time for the 2014 World Cup, but boy he sure did make his presence felt, and how!

The premise of the commercial revolves around two teams of seemingly ordinary footballers who transform into their idols by simply uttering their name and epically battle against each other in a superb game of football, until of course one of them emerges the winner.

Ronaldo really brings out the showman inside him for the entirety of this ad, and also makes a priceless wisecrack involving a certain individual in a ‘very’ special cameo, which we refuse to spoil for you. While you’re busy marvelling at CR7, make sure to look out for appearances by Neymar, Rooney, Iniesta, Zlatan, as well as…wait for it…THE HULK!!!

#3 Nike - Write The Future

The 2010 World Cup ad is one of the most watched

It's hard to put down a detailed expression of this brilliant piece of advertising in words, but the jist of it is, as the name suggests, footballers attempting to write the most brilliant futures possible for themselves at the biggest stage of their trade.

Amongst all the phenomenal flash forwards and present time greatness of various footballers in the commercial, there's Cristiano Ronaldo who has some great moments. I'm not going to spoil the future for you, so you're gonna have to watch this ad to find out what it's all about.

#2 Housekeeping by Armani Jeans

This exceptionally fine ad by Armani Jeans ranks right up there as one of the best commercials starring Cristiano Ronaldo. Shot entirely in black and white, Armani released this great piece of work to promote their now infamous collaboration with Cristiano Ronaldo for an underwear range.

The film opens with a housekeeping lady going about her everyday job of keeping CR7's house spick and span. That is until she is distracted by the house's owner who emerges from his bathroom in nothing more than his underwear, which doubles up as a rather smart way to showcase the product.

Ronaldo proceeds to put on his trousers and hunt for his tee, which is undoubtedly an easy thing to find amongst the stuff in his massive mansion. Meanwhile, the housekeeping lady, whose routine is thrown into complete disarray, courtesy of her shirtless employer, manages to unearth the missing tee and proceeds to...we'll let you find that out for yourself. All in all, this brilliantly humorous ad is a must watch.

#1 Emirates - All-time Greats

There've been loads of football commercials shot in planes featuring some awesome tricks and twists, but this gem by Emirates featuring Cristiano Ronaldo is simple yet classy with its humour and elegance. The film opens with Ronaldo, lodged in the Emirates first-class section, listening in on a conversation amongst two fellow passengers, who are seemingly praising the Real Madrid forward to the skies (no pun intended).

The compliments get greater and greater, much to the delight of CR7, until one of the passengers mentions his achievement of winning three World Cups. A surprised Ronaldo turns to find a smiling Pele come up to him, realising that the conversation between the passengers was about the Brazilian legend all along.

Ronaldo seems visibly mortified until another passenger approaches Pele and requests the legend to take a photo of him and Ronaldo while being completely unaware that the man he's talking to is one of the greatest footballers to ever grace the game. Make sure you give this a watch.
