It takes a certain type of player to try anything as outrageous as shooting from over 30 yards away from goal in open play, but Ronaldo is no ordinary player.

Running into space at the Osasuna backline, Ronaldo could have easily carried the ball forward into the box and given himself an easier chance to score.

However, Ronaldo did not do that. Instead, he unleashed an incredibly powerful shot which bulged the back of the goal almost immediately after it left his boot.
