#1 Alex Sandro

Brazil v Chile - 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Qualifier

Brazilian left full-back, Alex Sandro has had just three chances to play under manager Tite, since his appointment as the national team manager. Starting two of these games, he didn't make an impact and was never called up again only having made 10 national team appearances.

With Marcelo and Felipe Luiz the other two left full-backs who got the nod, the country seems to have quality players on the left, despite Sandro's absence. Two highly experienced footballers, Luiz and Marcelo will battle it out for the spot in the playing 11.

Sandro has not been poor for his club this season, although the Brazilian has been left out due to the fact that he might not fit into the manager's game plan for the tournament. The 27-year-old, in the prime of his career, has been excellent for Juventus in the past three seasons and was considered an easy call-up in the Brazilin squad.
