One of the most successful clubs in English football, Liverpool FC is known for its attacking approach and quick counter-attacking style of football. Micheal Owen, Fernando Torres, Robbie Fowler, the club has a never-ending list of iconic attackers.

Although the side has been struggling to win trophies of late, it didn't lose its attacking prowess. It is still capable of beating any team on its day and that too in a ruthless way.

Now with the German, Jurgen Klopp at the helm, Liverpool is taking its game to the next level and is scoring goals for fun. The club has scored the most number of goals in this season's Champions League (28) and is also the second most scoring team in the Premier League so far this season (67).

#5 Fernando Torres

Fernando Torres scored 65 goals for the club.

To start the list we have Fernando Torres. The Spaniard scored 65 goals for the club in 102 games, which puts him in fifth place on our list.

He joined Liverpool from Atletico Madrid in 2007, the Spaniard hit the ground running instantly. He scored 24 goals in his first season with the club and finished as the club's top scorer that season.

He continued his brilliant performance the following season and again finished as Liverpool's top scorer. He spent three and half seasons with the Merseyside outfit before leaving for Chelsea in 2011.

Fernando Torres is Spain's third highest goal scorer and has represented his country on more than 100 occasions.

#4 Luis Suarez

Liverpool signed Luis Suarez in the winter transfer window of 2011, and what an excellent signing that proved to be. The Uruguayan scored 69 goals for the club in 110 games, therefore he is number four on our list.

He spent four years with the Reds and was the fan favorite during his stay at the club. He holds the record of scoring most goals in a single Premier League season (31). He also scored six hat-tricks in the Premier League, of which three of them were against Norwich City.

Known for his finishing ability and hardworking nature, Luis Suarez was PFA Player of the Year 2013-14 and won the Premier League's golden boot in the same season.

He currently plays for Barcelona and is regarded as one of the best strikers in the world.

#3 Michel Owen

Micheal Owen was Liverpool's top scorer for 7 straight seasons.

Regarded as one of the best players to have ever come through Liverpool's youth academy, Micheal Owen is number three on our list. The former England international scored 118 goals for the club in 216 games.

Micheal Owen made his senior debut in 1997 but established himself as a first-team regular only in 1998. He won Liverpool's Top Scorer of the Season award for 7 consecutive seasons and was also the Premier League's top scorer for the 1997-98 and the 1998-99 seasons.

He stayed in Liverpool for eight seasons before moving to the Spanish giants, Real Madrid in 2004. But he could not replicate his Anfield magic at the Bernabeu and therefore got transferred to Newcastle United after a season.

He then went on to have brief spells with Manchester United and Stoke City before finally retiring from professional football in 2013.

#2 Steven Gerrard

Any listicle about Liverpool FC is incomplete without Steven Gerrard's inclusion. The former Liverpool captain is regarded as one the best midfielders to ever grace the game of football.

He scored 120 goals in 504 Premier League games, which puts him in second place on our list. He was Liverpool's top goalscorer of the season four times, which certainly helped him to create such a healthy goal tally.

Steven Gerrard is one the most inspirational players in the club's history. He won Liverpool's Player of the Season award four times, and was also the Ballon d'Or bronze winner in 2005.

Steven Gerrard ended his career with the MLS side, LA Galaxy in 2016 and is now working as the youth coach for Liverpool's U18's.

One of the best strikers to have ever played for Liverpool, Robbie Fowler takes the top position on this list. He had played 266 games for the club in two different spells and scored 128 goals.

Liverpool's academy graduate, Robbie Fowler made his debut in 1993 and then went on to spend eight years with the club before moving to Leeds United in 2001. His career with Leeds United lasted only for 2 years and he transferred to Manchester City in 2003.

He stayed with the Manchester club for three seasons before returning to Anfield in 2006. But his second spell with Liverpool wasn't as prolific as his first spell and he stayed with the side just for one season, scoring just 8 goals in 30 Matches.
