It initially looked as though the attacker would move to the Stadio Olimpico, with the Seria A outfit expecting his arrival before he made a shocking U-turn at the airport due to a late interference from Barcelona.
The Catalans made the Brazilian superstar one of the most expensive signings in the Spanish top flight this summer, splashing up to £37 million to lure him from Bordeaux. Malcolm has linked up with other recruits including the likes of Arthur Melo and Clement in the Catalan capital this season.
