Another centre-back on this list, 20-year-old Fikayo Tomori has been rock solid for Frank Lampard's high-flying Derby County. The Rams are currently 5th in the Championship but only two points off the top. The Canadian has 14 starts in the league till now and it seems he has firmly established himself as the top choice central defender.

The Chelsea loanee who was in the spotlight recently for scoring an own goal in the League Cup has been in superb form of late. Sublime at blocking the ball, the youngster is highly focused and loves to tackle. Tomori does not have any significant weakness but can definitely improve his passing success and well, not score an own goal again.

In a nutshell, the teenager is one of the emerging prospects of the much-maligned Chelsea's loan system. If Derby are to have any chance of finishing in the top two, they need Fikayo to continue this splendid form throughout the long season.
