The World Cup winner arrived at Manchester United during the summer of 2015. After 17 years and 8 Bundesliga titles with Bayern, Schweinsteiger moved to England with a lot of expectations. With his experience and abilities, he was brought in to add steel to the United midfield.

However, his playing time was restricted at Manchester United. He was never able to cement his place in the United team and never played at the level that made him one of the best midfielders in the world.
It was a poor transfer strategy from Manchester United to buy a player who was at the tail end of his career. Eventually, he left the club in early 2017, after making only 18 Premier League appearances for the club.
