#8 Sergio Busquets

Probably from the time Pep Guardiola has left Barcelona, Sergio has been linked with the now Manchester City manager’s current club. Now, the rumours are that he is going to City to shore up that midfield, which to me is what Gary Neville refers to as ‘rubbish’.

The Spain international, a La Masia graduate has been at Barcelona for all his career and is probably the most important player to their system after the Lionel Messi. Plus, the fact that he loves the club as much as Gerard Pique does (in case you didn't know, that is the litmus test).

He signed a new contract with the Catalan giants, keeping him at the club till 2021, with the option of extending it to 2023. “Busquets is fundamental to our team, he's essential, and as time goes by he will be even more so,” said captain Andreas Iniesta in 2016.
