Bafetimbi Gomis:
Lyon’s French striker Gomi has constantly beenlinkedto Newcastle in the past and if hisgoalscoring records are to be taken a closer look at, the Magpies will benefit from his poacher’s skills if they are to sign him this January. Even though it is believed that the Frenchman would cost somewhere in the region of €10 m, a physical presence coupled with pace Gomis could do very well in the Premier League and with Pappis Cisse struggling to find the net, Gomis could be a welcome addition to the club.
With Newcastle siting sixth in the league and trying to cement a place in Europe next season, the second half of the season would prove to be the most enthralling times for Alan Pardew and his men. A player such as Gomis would point towards the right direction for the club and being a French International, he could very well settle down at St. James’ Park who have a host of French players.
