Tottenham Hotspur sign Etienne Capoue from Toulouse

Tottenham Hotspur have signed midfielder Etienne Capoue in the latest move from Toulouse. Spurs’ official Twitter account confirmed the story:

Earlier, according to Sky Sports News, Capoue said that he has passed his medical at Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs were negotiating the Capoue deal for the past few weeks now and is he is now all set to don the Spurs’ jersey.

“There are only some paperwork to sign now. I will be at the training ground tomorrow,” he said on Wednesday evening.

“Tottenham is a super club. It’s the best club to continue my career. It should be official very quickly now.”

This is Tottenham’s second signing in the midfield department with Brazilian international Paulinho already added to their ranks this summer. Spurs take on Crystal Palace on Sunday in their first match of the new season.
