#10 Serge Aurier (Right-Back) - £70,000 per week

A hugely divisive figure amongst Tottenham fans, Serge Aurier has practically become the team’s first-choice right-back by default this season. And while he hasn’t performed badly per se – registering two goals and seven assists – he’s also wildly inconsistent.

The Ivorian international has given away multiple penalties this season and has also been susceptible to plenty of defensive mistakes. Whether he’ll still be Tottenham’s right-back next season is a question mark – especially as he’s been linked with a move to Monaco in recent weeks.

#9 Lucas Moura (Forward) - £80,000 per week

Tottenham fans will naturally always have a soft spot for Brazilian forward Lucas Moura. That is, of course, because it was his hat-trick against Ajax in May 2019 that took the club to their first Champions League final.

Since that fateful night, Moura has been somewhat inconsistent. He’s made 43 appearances this season, scoring seven goals and registering three assists. The Brazilian remains a key man for Spurs due to his pace and clever dribbling ability. But with rumours linking him with a move away from the club, his time in North London may be coming to an end.

#8 Erik Lamela (Midfielder) - £80,000 per week

When Tottenham sold Gareth Bale to Real Madrid back in 2013 for upwards of £80m, they signed seven players to attempt to replace him. Of those seven, only one man remains – Argentine attacker Erik Lamela. And while he’s struggled with injuries during his time at the club, he’s currently seen as a key man by Mourinho.

Lamela has made 32 appearances this season, scoring four goals and registering six assists. Renowned for his combative style, the Argentine is well-liked by Spurs fans. And with his £80k-per-week contract running until 2022, he should remain at the club for the foreseeable future.

#7 Toby Alderweireld (Defender) - £80,000 per week

This time last year it felt like Toby Alderweireld was almost certainly set to leave Tottenham. The Belgian defender was entering into the final year of his contract, and it was thought that numerous big clubs were interested in his services.

Thankfully for Tottenham fans, Alderweireld decided to stick around. He signed a new £80k-per-week deal with the club in December 2019 to keep him in London until 2023. And with his experience, passing range and heading ability, he should remain a first-team staple deep into the latter stages of his career.

#6 Jan Vertonghen (Defender) - £100,000 per week

In just a couple of weeks’ time, it’s likely that Jan Vertonghen will no longer be on this list. The Belgian veteran looks set to depart Tottenham at the end of the season, after signing an extension to keep him at the club for the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign.

Where Vertonghen’s next destination is remains a mystery, although he’s expressed an interest in moving back to Ajax. The 33-year old will leave Tottenham as a true fan favourite, after spending a total of seven seasons at the club. His leadership, defensive abilities and experience will definitely be missed.

#5 Hugo Lloris (Goalkeeper) - £100,000 per week

Tottenham’s current captain, goalkeeper Hugo Lloris remains one of the Premier League’s most reliable shot-stoppers. Sure, he’s prone to the odd gaffe – such as his error that led to a goal against Southampton in September 2019. But overall, Tottenham are a far better side for his presence.

At 33 years old Lloris has plenty of years left in him yet. And thankfully for Spurs fans, his current contract runs until 2022 and he’s shown no interest in leaving the club. He might be one of Tottenham’s higher-paid players on £100k per week, but it’s hard to dispute that he’s worth it.

#4 Dele Alli (Attacker) - £100,000 per week

When Jose Mourinho took over at Tottenham in November, one of his stated aims was to get the best out of Dele Alli. The ultra-talented attacker had been out of form for some time. But since Mourinho’s arrival, he’s shown more glimpses of excellence. Alli has scored nine goals and registered six assists, an improvement on his 2018-19 return.

At just 24 years old, Alli has not yet reached his prime despite starring for Tottenham for the past five seasons. And with a contract that runs until 2024, Mourinho will be hoping that he can continue to see an improvement in the England international’s form in the next couple of seasons.

#3 Heung-min Son (Forward) - £140,000 per week

Aside from Harry Kane, no player has been as important to the Tottenham cause in recent years than Heung Min Son. His pace and goalscoring ability from wide areas make him one of the most dangerous players in the Premier League. And he’s shown a penchant for scoring key goals at just the right time.

This season has seen the South Korean score 16 goals while registering 11 assists, making him arguably Tottenham’s most effective attacker. With his £140k-per-week contract running until 2024, it appears that Son’s prime years will be spent in North London, where he’s a firm fan favourite.

#2 Tanguy Ndombele (Midfielder) - £200,000 per week

Tottenham’s record signing, costing €62m from Lyon in the summer of 2019, the jury is still out on Tanguy Ndombele. The French midfielder clearly has tremendous ability. But thus far, Tottenham fans have only seen glimpses of it. Injuries have hampered his time at the club. But so have a series of public spats with Jose Mourinho.

Current reports suggest that the Frenchman is set to remain at Tottenham for the foreseeable future. However, due to a hefty contract that reportedly pays him £200k per week, if he doesn’t settle next season, it wouldn’t be a shock to see the club cash in. Spurs fans will be hoping that won’t be the case, of course.

#1 Harry Kane (Striker) – £200,000 per week

The jewel in Tottenham’s crown, it should come as no surprise that Harry Kane is the club’s highest-paid player. Kane is on a contract worth reportedly £200k per week before bonuses.

The England captain hasn’t enjoyed the best 2019-20 campaign thanks to injuries. But he’s still delivered 19 goals and is currently one goal away from the 200 mark in his overall career.

Tottenham’s third-highest all-time goalscorer, Kane has been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks. But with a contract that runs until 2024, the chance of Spurs letting him go remains low. If Jose Mourinho wants Tottenham to see real success, then he must get the best out of Kane, who remains one of the best strikers in the game.
