Hello and welcome to the Tottenham transfer roundup of the day. There is actually some good news for Spurs fans here and so without any further ado, let’s begin!

#4 Paul Merson’s believe

Former Arsenal forward Paul Merson believes that Spurs could lose manager Mauricio Pochettino to Real Madrid.

“If Liverpool beat them in the Champions League, I think Real Madrid get Pochettino,” Express quoted him.

“I think he has half an incline of that, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s heard something and that’s why he’s throwing all this stuff out - I need that and this. You’ve never heard him say that before.”

#3 Spurs to sell

Alderweireld to leave

According to Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are ready to sell five of their first-team players in the summer. The Lilywhites ended their season with an epic 5-4 win over Leicester City and that could have been the last time that these five players were registered as Spurs player.

Fernando Llorente Torres, Moussa Sissoko, Mousa Dembele, Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld could all leave as the North London outfit are willing to listen to offers for them.

#2 Levy to offer contract

This is something that is completely opposite to what Paul Merson had claimed in the earlier slide. According to Daily Mail, Daniel Levy is set to offer Mauricio Pochettino a jaw-dropping eye-popping salary to stay at Spurs.

The Argentine has three years left in his £5.5 million-per-year deal and Levy is set to propose a deal worth £9 million-a-year – almost double of what the former Espanyol and Southampton boss is currently on.

#1 The Tody domino effect

There could be a bit of a domino effect going on in here of sorts as according to Evening Standard, Manchester United are confident of signing Toby Alderweireld from Tottenham Hotspur for a fee reported to be around £40 million.

As a result, Spurs will need a defender to replace the outgoing Belgian and are monitoring the situation of Matthijs De Ligt. Ajax might value him at £50 million but Spurs won’t have a problem since they will have the adequate money from Alderweireld’s sale.
