Liverpool might have to take a hit on their approach for Gelson Martins as Tottenham Hotspur have overtaken them in the pursuit of the Sporting Lisbon star, say A Bola via TeamTalk.
The Reds had chased him last summer but opted for Mohamed Salah in the end – and Martins doesn’t want to join Liverpool because of the indispensable status of the Egyptian. As a result, the Lilywhites are favourites to land him for his buy-out clause of €60 million.
