Mexico starlet Giovani Dos Santos has admitted that he is unsure about his future with Tottenham Hotspur. Dos Santos arrived at the White Hart Lane in the summer of 2008 as a promising 19 year old (he was dubbed as the next-Ronaldinho) for a sum of £5.3m, but has since managed just 10 first team appearances for the club.
The player spent some time on loan at Ipswich Town and Turkish club Galatasaray before heading back to Spain in January to spend the rest of the 2010-11 season on loan with Racing Santander. The winger had some decent outings with the Spanish club and scored 5 and created 2 goals in 16 appearances.
However, it was his performances with the national team in the recently concluded Gold Cup, that caught the attention of many European clubs and the winger now claims that he has several offers on table now to consider. Speaking to AS, dos Santos said
“I still don’t know where I am going but thank God things are going well now and I have some offers.”
“I will have to wait and see which is the best one.”
It’s a well known fact that Harry Redknapp is set to offload a few of his players and Robbie Keane, Peter Crouch and Giovani Dos Santos are few of the players facing the axe. Sevilla are thought to be the frontrunners for the winger, with Tottenham’s asking price reported to be around £4.3m. Real Zaragoza are also reportedly interested in signing the Barcelona academy graduate.
