Barcelona want Borussia Dortmund striker Alexander Isak

Barcelona have restored their interest in 19-year-old Borussia Dortmund striker Alexander Isak who is currently on loan at Dutch Willem II. The lanky striker has already scored 10 goals in 9 games in the Eredivisie and is continuing to impress in the international circuit as well.

Isak, who is touted as a successor to Zlatan Ibrahimovic was Sweden's most decisive player on the pitch as they took on Norway in the recent international break. Isak was sent on loan to Dutch Willem II in the winter transfer window and has taken to the Eredivisie like fish to water.

Borussia Dortmund are willing to listen to offers and the European elite have taken note. Isak is also reportedly of the opinion that after spells in the Bundesliga and the Eredivisie, he is ready to make the big step up. The reports claim that Isak values his career more than monetary benefits and that's why he chose Borussia Dortmund when Real Madrid were also looking to sign him.

Isak is being eyed as a long-term replacement for the ageing Luis Suarez whose best days are clearly behind him.
