FC Barcelona scout Premier League duo

It is being reported by tabloids in Spain that FC Barcelona were scouting Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen during Tottenham Hotspur's 1-1 draw with Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Tuesday. Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona's sporting director Robert Fernandez was in the director's box at Madrid and must be impressed by what he saw by the Spurs attackers.

Signing the two won't be an easy task with the North London club valuing the duo at around £260 million. Eriksen is being seen as an alternative to Philippe Coutinho for the Catalans whereas Kane is being touted as a replacement for the under firing Luis Suarez.

Karim Benzema happy at Real Madrid

According to the player's agent, Karim Djaziri, the French striker is happy with life at Real Madrid. Benzema has been linked with Arsenal amidst rumours of the Spanish giants looking for a new striker next summer. Squashing all the rumours, his agent told Sky Sports, "Karim Benzema is very happy at Real Madrid. He signed a contract extension last month and has absolutely no intention of leaving the club."

Southampton made a bid for Kalidou Koulibaly last summer

Calciomercato has claimed that Southampton made a bid for Napoli's star defender, Kalidou Koulibaly in the summer.

The 26-year-old was linked with a number of clubs over the course of the summer but it has now become clear that Saints were the only club to have a concrete interest in the ball playing centre back.

Southampton were looking at Koulibaly as a direct replacement for Virgil Van Dijk.

AC Milan interested in Lucas Lima

Sky Italy understands that AC Milan are looking at Santos forward, Lucas Lima in the January transfer market. Lima has been capped 14 times by the Selecao and is often dubbed to have a big future. Inter Milan have also been linked with Lima in the past but the Rossoneri are keen to snap him up before their rivals do.

Juventus enter Julian Weigl race

Calcio24News has reported that Juventus are the latest club to register an interest in Borussia Dortmund's 22-year-old midfield hotshot, Julian Weigl. The German international is also linked with Manchester City and FC Barcelona with the defensive midfielder set to start a transfer battle between the European giants.

Dortmund are keen on holding onto their valuable asset and with Weigl having a contract until 2021, he is being said to have a valuation of around €85 million.

Inter Milan monitoring Arturo Vidal

Luciano Spalletti is keen on strengthening his side in the January transfer window after a stellar start to the current season.

According to Tuttosport, Spalletti wants the Inter owners to sign Bayern Munich's Arturo Vidal who is also reportedly looking for a return to Italy. The 31-year-old recently retired from international football with Chile and is looking to prolong his club career by trying out a second stint in Italy.

Jose Mourinho hold talks with Manchester United over a new deal

ESPN has reported that the Red Devils have started initial talks with the Portuguese manager over an extension to his current deal. Mourinho currently has a three year deal with Manchester United until 2019 but his recent statements about PSG has made the Premier League giants eager to sign him up on a long-term deal.

Mourinho recently admitted his admiration for the project at PSG in an interview with Telefoot.

Newcastle United close to finding a new owner

After Mike Ashley recently put Newcastle United up for sale, Sky Sports sources reveal that PCP Capital Partners, the investment company run by Amanda Staveley has made a £300 million bid to take over from the current owner.

Ashley is eyeing around £400 million at the moment but Staveley is not expected to make a bigger offer.

Kylian Mbappe wanted to join FC Barcelona

Football agent Josep Maria Minguella has today revealed that before joining PSG, Kylian Mbappe had his heart set on playing with Lionel Messi and joining FC Barcelona. Minguella told Cadena Cope, “Mbappe said that he only wanted to sign for Barcelona when he found out that Neymar was going to PSG. Barca had Mbappe for €120m plus €30m in add-ons. I spoke with his father and he only wanted to come to Barca, that he would love to play with Lionel Messi. He did not want to go to Real Madrid because the BBC are there.”

Ramires wants a return to Europe

Gazzetta Dello Sport has reported that former Chelsea midfielder, Ramires is eyeing a return to European football with Inter Milan being his favoured destination. With the Chinese Super League set to get over next month, Ramires wants to play in Europe to have a chance of making it to the Brazil squad for next year's World Cup.
