Barcelona made a €124 million bid for Antoine Griezmann in the summer

According to Mundo Deportivo, FC Barcelona had made a staggering €124 million bid for Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann a week after the sale of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain. But the Colchoneros were under a transfer ban imposed by FIFA which led the club to reject any offer for their star player. Griezmann also signed an extension this past summer which will keep him at the Wanda Metropolitano till 2022.

Zinedine Zidane has signed a new contract

Despite the news not being officially announced by the club, Zinedine Zidane has today revealed in his press conference that he has signed a contract extension. The Real Madrid boss said ahead of his team's clash with Real Betis on Wednesday, "In terms of the renewal, it's already done, but it doesn't mean anything. I care about the day-to-day and I'm not looking further than that, this is complicated."

Juventus identify long-term replacement for Gianluigi Buffon

The Italian champions are looking to splash the cash next summer in order to effectively replace their long-term custodian, Gianluigi Buffon who is expected to call it a day in 2018. Tuttosport has revealed that Juventus have identified Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak as a potential target with the club hierarchy believing that the Slovenian is a perfect man to replace Buffon. One of the best goalkeepers in the world, Oblak reportedly has a release clause of around €100 million.

Manchester clubs chasing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Lazio midfielder, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has caught the eye of a number of clubs with his brilliant run of form for the Italian giants. Manchester United and Manchester City have taken note of the 22-year-old and are reportedly tracking him this season.

His agent, Mateja Kezman has today spoken about his client's future with Radio CRC. Kezman said, "There’s been a lot of interest from several clubs, such as those in Madrid, Manchester and Milan. But he wants to be happy, to play to keep growing and become one of the best in his role. It’s difficult to see him away from Lazio, where he has started the season very well, but I can’t rule out him leaving."

Liverpool tracking Dayot Upamecano

Bild claims that Liverpool are monitoring the progress of Red Bull Leipzig's 18-year-old summer signing, Dayot Upamecano. The defender is considered to be a talented prospect with the fullback already making 15 appearances for the club since signing in January. But Leipzig have taken a note of the interest in their summer signing and have reportedly inserted a £88 million release clause in Upamecano's contract.

Talks have started between the two parties over an extension for the Belgian midfielder who has entered the final year of his contract. But the Daily Mail understands that the offer on the table from Manchester United has fallen short of Fellaini's expectations which is why the 30-year-old is holding out before signing a new deal. The Red Devils have a policy of offering only a one-year rolling contract for every player above 30 but Fellaini currently wants a longer deal to commit his future with the Old Trafford outfit.

Atletico Madrid make a "take it or leave it" offer for Diego Costa

Despite being under a transfer embargo, Atletico Madrid have made a final offer to take Diego Costa on board. Marca reports that Atletico have made a bid of £48.9 million for the Chelsea striker which will make him the club's most expensive signing of all time. The striker is currently in Brazil after Chelsea boss Antonio Conte made it clear that Costa does not feature in his future plans.

Manchester City make a move for 17-year-old Turkish goalkeeper

Turkish side, Altinordu goalkeeper Berke Ozer is a transfer target for Manchester City, the club's president has today revealed to Turkish-Football. It is believed that City have been tracking the teenager since last year who will be travelling to India next month to play in the FIFA U-17 World Cup. Club president Seyit Mehmet Ozkan said, "One of the clubs trying to sign Berke Ozer is Manchester City. In total four teams are in the race, the other clubs are from Germany, Italy and Spain. We want Berke to stay on and become a first-team keeper for us because we will give him playing time."

Sunderland admit the sale of Jordan Pickford kept the club running

After relegating to the Championship last season, Sunderland have had to do a serious cost-cutting. The Black Cats have revealed that every penny that they received from Jordan Pickford's £30 million transfer to Everton was used to keep the club running smoothly. Sunderland offloaded as many as 15 players this past summer and spent just £1.25 million on new faces. The club has admitted that the relegation had caused the club a lot financially and that the sale of Pickford was needed to avoid going into debt.
