According to the Daily Star, Arsenal are looking at FC Barcelona's Marc Andre Ter Stegen as a long-term goalkeeping solution at the Emirates. Petr Cech has just 18 months remaining on his current deal with the club hierarchy wanting a new custodian next summer. Juventus are also monitoring Ter Stegen as they are looking for an heir to Gianluigi Buffon. The German goalkeeper has been one of the best Barcelona players this season and has conceded just 4 goals this season with the Catalans set to play hardball over his transfer fee.

Everton now want Nuno Espirito Santo

Journalist Guillem Balague has revealed that Everton are now focusing on luring Santo away from Wolves to take over the reigns at Goodison Park. Santo has led Wolves to the top of the Championship table and has impressed with his footballing philosophy. But it is also reported that Santo is focused on his job with the Wolves and does not want to leave them for the Toffees.

Antonio Conte is AC Milan's number one target

Vincenzo Montella's struggles with the Rossoneri are well documented with the manager counting his final days as the AC Milan manager. The club owners have earmarked Antonio Conte to take over from Montella next summer with Conte's problems also coming to the fore at Chelsea. Calciomercato reports that if Montella is sacked before the end of the season, former Watford manager, Walter Mazzari will be brought in on an interim basis.

Juventus desperate to sign Marco Verratti

The Bianconeri have been admirers of the PSG midfielder since the past couple of seasons but have now increased their efforts to bring the Italian back to his homeland next summer. PSG want at least €100 million for Verratti which may prove to be too costly for Juventus. Calciomercato understands that if PSG do not lower their valuation, Juventus will then shift their attention towards Real Madrid's Dani Ceballos.

Borussia Dortmund identify Aubameyang replacement

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stayed with Dortmund this season because of the club's insistence but is looking for a new club for the next season. Borussia Dortmund have known this and have identified Besiktas forward, Cenk Tosun as his direct replacement. Tosun scored 24 goals for the Turkish giants last season and is considered as their talisman. The Bild reports that along with Borussia Dortmund, the likes of Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace are also linked with the 26-year-old.

Peter Gulacsi on Premier League clubs' radar

The RasenBallSport Leipzig custodian, Peter Gulacsi has emerged as a potential transfer target for both Chelsea and Arsenal. The Daily Mail understands that the Hungarian international has impressed the Premier League sides who are monitoring his weekly performances. Arsenal are looking at Gulacsi as a Petr Cech replacement whereas Chelsea see him as an able deputy for Thibaut Courtois. Gulacsi has had a taste of the English football as he was with Liverpool for five years before joining RB Leipzig.

FC Barcelona enter Thomas Lemar race

Arsenal will now face stiff competition from the Catalans for the signature of AS Monaco's in-demand attacker, Thomas Lemar. The 22-year-old was a summer target for the Gunners and was a subject of a record £90 million bid. Arsenal are set to revive their interest next summer but will have to beat FC Barcelona for Lemar. Ernesto Valverde has funds available from the sale of Neymar and the boss has been impressed by Lemar's ability to play on the flanks and also in a midfield three.

Marcelino thought he had the Inter Milan job last summer

Valencia boss, Marcelino has revealed that he had given an interview last summer to take over from Frank De Boer at Inter Milan but the Nerazzurri decided to appoint Stefan Pioli instead. Speaking with Gazzetta Dello Sport, Marcelino revealed, "We went to Milan and had two technical meetings. After the second we were sure that we'd coach Inter. However, between 11 pm on the Saturday and Sunday afternoon, something changed. In 13 hours, our candidacy lost energy."

Dani Alves almost joined Liverpool

The Paris Saint-Germain fullback has today revealed that he was close to joining Liverpool in 2006 from Sevilla. But the move fell off at the final moment which led Alves to join FC Barcelona and the rest is history. Talking to Four Four Two, Alves quipped, "I pretty much had an agreement with Liverpool. But for whatever reason, it didn't happen at the last moment and I really don't know why, as I wasn't the one conducting the negotiations." Alves also revealed that he was close to accepting an offer from Chelsea and Real Madrid later in his career.

Didier Deschamps renews contract

The French Football Federation has confirmed that Didier Deschamps has extended his stay with the France national team by signing a new deal until 2020. Deschamps took over in 2012 and guided the French to the final of Euros 2016. He also led the French to the 2018 World Cup quite easily by losing just one game out of the 10 matches.
