FC Barcelona enter Thomas Lemar race
Arsenal will now face stiff competition from the Catalans for the signature of AS Monaco's in-demand attacker, Thomas Lemar. Marcelino thought he had the Inter Milan job last summer
Valencia boss, Marcelino has revealed that he had given an interview last summer to take over from Frank De Boer at Inter Milan but the Nerazzurri decided to appoint Stefan Pioli instead. Speaking with Gazzetta Dello Sport, Marcelino revealed, "We went to Milan and had two technical meetings. After the second we were sure that we'd coach Inter. However, between 11 pm on the Saturday and Sunday afternoon, something changed. In 13 hours, our candidacy lost energy."
