FC Barcelona eyeing RB Leipzig duo

Barcelona's sporting director, Robert Fernandez was seen on TV during RB Leipzig's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich. Mundo Deportivo reports that Fernandez was on duty to personally scout the duo of Dayot Upamecano and Timo Werner.

Both the players are being speculated as Barcelona targets since the end of the transfer window with the Catalans ready to pay the required price for the duo. Upamecano is being seen as a long-term heir to Gerard Pique whereas Timo Werner is touted as a direct, like for like alternative to Luis Suarez.

Leon Goretzka to FC Barcelona gathers pace

The 22-year-old's move to Spain has suddenly gathered pace after Marc Andre Ter Stegen recently praised the midfielder. Goretzka is favourite to join the Catalans and Ter Stegen's quotes now make the club's intentions pretty clear.

Talking to a German outlet named Waz, Ter Stegen said, "Leon is a fantastic player. What I've seen of him in the national team is extraordinary and remarkable. I also think he will get better in the future."
