Real Madrid view Neymar as the perfect replacement

Florentino Perez wants Neymar to replace Cristiano Ronaldo

Just months after Neymar's jaw-dropping £198 million move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar's name is once again being thrown around the rumour mills. The Brazilian sensation is reportedly still being eyed by Real Madrid as Cristiano Ronaldo's replacement, after having failed to sign Neymar from Santos, who subsequently signed for arch-rivals - Barcelona.

As per reports in The Sun, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez reportedly met with Neymar's father recently to try and engineer a move which could see Neymar return to La Liga, as a replacement for the ageing Cristiano Ronaldo.

While Neymar is unlikely to make the switch anytime soon, Cristiano Ronaldo, himself, is under contract at Madrid until 2021. However, the reports suggest that Neymar will eventually, and inevitably become a Real Madrid galactico sooner or later.

Barcelona eye swoop for Anthony Martial and César Azpilicueta

The Catalan giants have had a remarkable start to the season, and sit pretty atop the La Liga table, with 31 points from 10 wins and no defeats. However, Ernesto Valverde and co. are still reportedly on the lookout for reinforcements, after failing to lure Philippe Coutinho away from Liverpool.

According to reports in the Daily Star, a Barcelona scout was conspicuously seated in the stands for the Chelsea - Manchester United encounter last weekend, with a reported agenda of keeping an eye on Anthony Martial and Cesar Azpilicueta.

The Blaugrana's shopping list is believed to be headed by the Premier League duo, who Ernesto Valverde deems as suitable additions, after being impressed by both players' performances, so far this season. The Spanish giants could launch a move for the duo, as early as January.

Antonio Conte is keeping tabs on Lyon's Mouctar Diakhaby as a defensive alternative

Chelsea monitor Lyon's Mouctar Diakhaby

After a wayward start to the season, defending champions Chelsea find themselves languishing 9 points off table-toppers Manchester City. A frustrating transfer window, coupled with injuries and form-related concerns are believed to have made Antonio Conte a worried man.

New recruit Antonio Rudiger has visibly struggled so far and has failed to impress the Chelsea hierarchy, who are now reportedly eyeing Lyon's 20-year old sensation Mouctar Diakhaby as an alternative to the woeful German, according to reports in The Sun.

The Frenchman has been in sizzling form this season and has attracted a lot of attention already. The reports also claim that Manchester City also have the youngster on their radar.

Arsenal identify replacement for Mesut Ozil

Arsenal's contract rebel - Mesut Ozil still hasn't signed a new deal with the Gunners and will be free to agree pre-contract agreements with interested clubs in January. With the German's departure nothing short of imminent, Arsene Wenger will be desperate to recruit replacements.

According to the Metro, Arsenal are now reportedly considering a move to bring back O?uzhan Özyakup, who was a part of their youth setup, before he was sold to Besiktas for a fee of £400,000.

The midfielder has subsequently made close to 200 appearances for the Turkish side, in his 5 years at the club. An impressive set of performances has now raised his value to about £10 million, which is what Chelsea are allegedly keen on paying to regain the services of their former player, who is now seen as an able replacement for Mesut Ozil.

Dimitri Oberlin is on the radar of a number of big European clubs

AC Milan set for Miguel Almiron pursuit

Despite a mammoth transfer window in terms of expenditure, to say that AC Milan have started the season regressively would be a gross understatement. The Milan side are languishing at a lowly 7th place, 13 points away from the top, already. Understandably, Vincenzo Montella will turn to the January transfer window to address some of their issues.

According to reports emerging from Europe, MLS side Atlanta United's Miguel Almiron is reportedly Milan's top-target, after the 23-year old's dazzling form has made him a household name in the United States. The Paraguayan joined Atlanta just last offseason for a reported fee of $10 million but could cost Milan a fee of around $18 million, should they decide to make a move for him in January.

Juventus enter race for Dimitri Oberlin

The Serie A giants are currently 2nd on the Serie A table, just 1 point off leaders Napoli. Notably, the fight for the Scudetto hasn't been this tight in years, with Napoli, Juventus, Inter Milan, Lazio and Roma, all starting with full exuberance. Massimiliano Allegri will undoubtedly be wary of how challenging this season could become and will look to boost his squad depth in the January transfer window.

Allegri has reportedly set his sights on 20-year-old Dimitri Oberlin, who currently plays for FC Basel, on loan from Red Bull Salzburg, as per The Sun. The striker has been meteoric this season, and has scored 3 and assisted 1 in just 4 UEFA Champions League games this season.

The Swiss star had previously rejected a move to Manchester United, when he was 17, claiming intense competition, although Jose Mourinho and co. are believed to have continued monitoring the youngster. Notably, Real Madrid have also registered interest, as per the reports.

Leon Goretzka's rise to prominence has brought him a number of suitors

Arsenal to fight arch-rivals Spurs to sign Schalke's Leon Goretzka

22-year old, Leon Goretzka, has become somewhat of a sensation in Germany recently after some exceptional performances for his Bundesliga side - Schalke 04. The German has been in sublime form, and naturally, now has a couple of big clubs reportedly interested in him.

The 2 clubs are none other than North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham. While Arsene Wenger is said to have following Goretzka's career for a while now, their rivals have reportedly registered a keen interest recently and will look to fight it out in the January transfer window.

Marouane Fellaini still hasn't signed a new contract with Manchester United

Fellaini to be sold in January; Besiktas put on high-alert

According to reports in the Metro, Marouane Fellaini seems to have grown into a bit of a contract-rebel, having refused to pen a new deal with the Red Devils, despite manager Jose Mourinho repeatedly highlighting his importance. The Belgian's contract runs out by the end of this season, allowing him to discuss pre-contract deals with clubs in January.

The reports also claim that Jose Mourinho is keen on recruiting a creative attacking player in the next window, but has reportedly been told that he will need to sell before he can buy, which further casts a doubt of Fellaini's future at Manchester United.

Turkish side Be?ikta? are believed to be top suitors for the 29-year old and have allegedly been put on high alert to sign him, come January. Will Fellaini sign a new deal at United or will he embark on a new Turkish adventure? Only time will tell.

Luke Shaw to reject Fenerbahce move

Reports emerged earlier this week, claiming that Turkish side Fenerbahce were interested in signing Manchester United's out-of-favour star Luke Shaw. The Englishman has played a mere 48 minutes of senior football this season, making 2 appearances off the bench in the Carabao Cup.

With further rumours of unrest between him and Jose Mourinho, a number of people thought Luke Shaw was on the verge of a club exit. However, as per latest reports from the Daily Mail, Luke Shaw has put an end to speculation by publicly stating that he would like to stay at Old Trafford and fight his way to the top, rather than leave for first-team football elsewhere.
