AC Milan set for Miguel Almiron pursuit

Despite a mammoth transfer window in terms of expenditure, to say that AC Milan have started the season regressively would be a gross understatement. The Milan side are languishing at a lowly 7th place, 13 points away from the top, already. Understandably, Vincenzo Montella will turn to the January transfer window to address some of their issues.

According to reports emerging from Europe, MLS side Atlanta United's Miguel Almiron is reportedly Milan's top-target, after the 23-year old's dazzling form has made him a household name in the United States. The Paraguayan joined Atlanta just last offseason for a reported fee of $10 million but could cost Milan a fee of around $18 million, should they decide to make a move for him in January.

Juventus enter race for Dimitri Oberlin

The Serie A giants are currently 2nd on the Serie A table, just 1 point off leaders Napoli. Notably, the fight for the Scudetto hasn't been this tight in years, with Napoli, Juventus, Inter Milan, Lazio and Roma, all starting with full exuberance. Massimiliano Allegri will undoubtedly be wary of how challenging this season could become and will look to boost his squad depth in the January transfer window.

Allegri has reportedly set his sights on 20-year-old Dimitri Oberlin, who currently plays for FC Basel, on loan from Red Bull Salzburg, as per The Sun. The striker has been meteoric this season, and has scored 3 and assisted 1 in just 4 UEFA Champions League games this season.

The Swiss star had previously rejected a move to Manchester United, when he was 17, claiming intense competition, although Jose Mourinho and co. are believed to have continued monitoring the youngster. Notably, Real Madrid have also registered interest, as per the reports.
