Premier League

FC Barcelona and Arsenal interested in Anthony Martial

Manchester United forward, Anthony Martial is in the news again! The Sun earlier in the day reported that Arsenal have identified Martial as the man to target after Alexis Sanchez leaves for greener pastures. And now, Mundo Deportivo has claimed that FC Barcelona are also keeping tabs on the Frenchman who has found it tough to start games for United this season.

Barcelona have been impressed by Martial's performances from the bench but United still consider him a crucial part of their future and may play hardball in the negotiations. Sources believe that United will demand over £70 million for the 21 years old.

Liverpool owners slap £1 billion price tag on the club

After Amanda Staveley, who runs PCP Capital Partners, a company who has global assets worth £28 million, attended Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Newcastle United last week, speculations were rife about there being an interest in the club from the Middle East, an area where Staveley has close links.

Sunday Mirror report that Liverpool owners, the Fenway Sports Group has slapped a £1 billion price tag on the club for any party interested in buying stakes. FSG had bought Liverpool Football Club in 2010 for £300 million.
