The Sun earlier in the day reported that Arsenal have identified Martial as the man to target after Alexis Sanchez leaves for greener pastures. And now, Mundo Deportivo has claimed that FC Barcelona are also keeping tabs on the Frenchman who has found it tough to start games for United this season.

Barcelona have been impressed by Martial's performances from the bench but United still consider him a crucial part of their future and may play hardball in the negotiations. Sources believe that United will demand over £70 million for the 21 years old.

Liverpool owners slap £1 billion price tag on the club

After Amanda Staveley, who runs PCP Capital Partners, a company who has global assets worth £28 million, attended Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Newcastle United last week, speculations were rife about there being an interest in the club from the Middle East, an area where Staveley has close links.

Sunday Mirror report that Liverpool owners, the Fenway Sports Group has slapped a £1 billion price tag on the club for any party interested in buying stakes. FSG had bought Liverpool Football Club in 2010 for £300 million.

AC Milan looking to sign Sergio Aguero

The Rossoneri made some statement signings this summer and are looking to continue their spending spree in the January transfer window.

The Sun has claimed that AC Milan are preparing a massive £80 million bid for Manchester City's Sergio Aguero in the winter market. Aguero has been in sensational form this season and has already scored six league goals but Milan feel that the emergence of Gabriel Jesus might help them lure the Argentine to be the main man at the San Siro.

Faouzi Ghoulam in high demand

According to the Sunday Express, Manchester City and Liverpool are both looking to sign Ghoulam next summer on a free transfer. Ghoulam has been one of the best fullbacks in Serie A for the past couple of seasons and now wants to test himself in a new league.

City are looking at the 26-year-old as an option for the injured Benjamin Mendy whereas Liverpool are looking at the Algerian as a next season replacement for Alberto Moreno.

Club legend urges Liverpool to sign Pierre Emerick Aubameyang

Phil Thompson, the former Liverpool captain and assistant manager has requested the Reds to take a look at Aubameyang in the January transfer period. Aubameyang has started this season brightly and has already notched up 13 goals in all competitions.

Speaking to the Daily Express, Thompson said, "I do feel that come January we need to improve the defenders and get an out-and-out striker. If Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang became available then he should be on our hit list."

Leon Goretzka to stay with Schalke 04 until the end of the season

Sport Bild has reported that contrary to reports, Leon Goretzka will see out the final year of his contract with Schalke 04 and will leave only in the summer on a Bosman transfer.

It was reported that Schalke were keen on receiving some amount for the talented midfielder in January but would be more than happy to keep the 22-year-old in their ranks until May.

FC Barcelona are said to be leading the race for the German midfielder with Arsenal and Bayern Munich also keeping tabs.

Marca has reported that Sergio Ramos and Real Madrid have reached an agreement in secret over an extension in the defender's deal with the club.

The new contract will see Ramos captaining the Madrid side till June 2021. If the Spaniard completes this contract, he will complete 16 complete years with Los Blancos.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid identify Dani Carvajal replacement

With the right-back being initially out for two months with a heart problem and with his return date still being an uncertainty, Real Madrid have started to look for options to replace Dani Carvajal.

AS claims that Real Madrid are ruing their decision to let Danilo join Manchester City and are now planning to sign Real Sociedad's Alvaro Odriozola who has a release clause of €40 million.

Andrea Pirlo to call it a day

The World Cup winner has today revealed that he will call it a day after the end of the current MLS season. Pirlo has been with New York City since 2014 but in an interview with Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Italian has revealed his retirement plans.

He said, "You just realise that the time has come. Every day you have physical problems, you cannot train as you like because you always have some stuff. At my age, that's enough. It's not that you can go on forever to 50. I'll do something else."

Jordan Amavi joins Marseille on a permanent deal

The former Aston Villa left-back has today made his loan move to Marseille a permanent one. Amavi had joined the French side on a season-long loan last season and returned to Marseille again on a loan deal this season.

Now, the Ligue 1 giants have activated a buying clause in Amavi's contract to land him on a permanent basis.
