Andrea Pirlo to call it a day
The World Cup winner has today revealed that he will call it a day after the end of the current MLS season. Pirlo has been with New York City since 2014 but in an interview with Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Italian has revealed his retirement plans.
He said, "You just realise that the time has come. Every day you have physical problems, you cannot train as you like because you always have some stuff. At my age, that's enough. It's not that you can go on forever to 50. I'll do something else."
Jordan Amavi joins Marseille on a permanent deal
The former Aston Villa left-back has today made his loan move to Marseille a permanent one. Amavi had joined the French side on a season-long loan last season and returned to Marseille again on a loan deal this season.
Now, the Ligue 1 giants have activated a buying clause in Amavi's contract to land him on a permanent basis.
