Arsene Wenger says Sanchez and Ozil could possibly leave in January

The Arsenal boss has said that it is possible that the duo, who will be out of contract next summer, could leave in January.

Goal had revealed last week that Alexis Sanchez has no intention of signing a new contract. Mesut Ozil has also garnered interest from the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Speaking about the possibility of extending their contracts, Wenger said,

“I hope the situation can be turned around. At the moment, we are not close enough to announce anything.”

Manchester United to swap Martial for Rakitic

Manchester United v Sunderland - Premier League
Anthony Martial is in fine form right now

Jose Mourinho, who is a fan of the Croatian playmaker, has expressed interest in signing him next summer. In order to force Barcelona to sell him, Manchester United is ready to let go of Anthony Martial, according to ESPN.

Barcelona are reportedly interested in Anthony Martial and a swap deal will cater to the interests of both parties.

No clubs are willing to meet Ozil's wage demands

According to The Sun, Mesut Ozil's wage demands stand at £330,000 per week and this is the reason why clubs such as Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Manchester United snubbed him in the summer transfer window.

Ozil will be out of contract next summer and will be available for free. However, only a handful of clubs have the financial capability to pay their players such staggering amounts. But their reluctance to do the same for Ozil has cast a shadow over the player's future.
