Pep Guardiola rules out a move for Eden Hazard

Chelsea's Eden Hazard is widely hailed as one of the best players in the Premier League

In the buildup ahead of tonight's clash between Chelsea and Manchester City, Eden Hazard made a tongue-in-cheek remark which prompted several reports to hastily and unnecessarily claim that he was suggesting an interest to play for City.

Earlier this week, Hazard had said:

“City are all about team play. You can see a lot of movement from them. That creates spaces, they get their crosses in, and I think they have more answers that way. They also create more chances and score more goals. But it’s true they don’t have an Eden Hazard. That is the difference!”

According to reports from The Evening Standard, responding to the Belgian's comments, Guardiola was quick to rule out the possibility of a move, thereby silencing all speculation. He said:

“That is not going to happen. I am agreeing with him. He said I’m so good and I am agreeing with him. Switch on the TV and look at him. You realise his qualities. He is one of the best players in the world.”
