Jose Mourinho ready to swap David De Gea for Gareth Bale

Manchester United are currently bracing themselves for a summer onslaught from Real Madrid as they step up their pursuit of David De Gea. Los Blancos are looking to replace Keylor Navas who, despite winning two European titles, has still not impressed the club hierarchy. Jose Mourinho is in the know-how regarding Madrid's interest in his goalkeeper but has made it clear that he will only sell De Gea if United get Gareth Bale in return.

Diario Gol reports that Bale holds all the cards in this transfer with Mourinho looking at the Welshman as the final piece of his attacking jigsaw. Real Madrid are unsure about Bale's future at the Bernabeu and may happily include the winger in a deal to bring De Gea back to Spain.

Real Madrid's goalkeeping shortlist revealed

The reigning European champions know that a deal for David De Gea may go horribly wrong just as it did four years ago. Hence, Madrid have already made a shortlist of custodians who can replace Keylor Navas next season.

Goal reports that De Gea is still Madrid's number one choice next season but aside from the Manchester United star, the likes of Thibaut Courtois, Jan Oblak and Gianluigi Donnarumma feature in a four-man shortlist.
