Arsenal make an enquiry for Malcom

Arsenal are resigned to losing Alexis Sanchez this month and work in the background has already started to rope in an able replacement for the Chilean. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Gunners have entered the race for Bordeaux winger Malcom and have contacted the French side for a move.

Malcom has been a stand out player for Bordeaux this campaign and has already scored 7 league goals. The 20-year-old looks to be one of the most wanted men of this transfer window with the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur also being interested in the starlet.

But the Gunners seem to have beaten their rivals and are ready to meet Malcom's valuation of £45 million.

Manchester City set to offer Raheem Sterling a bumper new deal

Sterling has been one of the most influential players for Manchester City this season, scoring 18 goals in all competitions. The champions-elect are now set to reward the winger for his brilliant form by offering him a bumper new deal.

Sterling has a deal with City until 2020 but the new contract will see it being extended till 2023. The winger will also get a raise as the Guardian reports that the new deal will see Sterling earn £250,000 per week, entering the bracket of top earners at the club.

Babacar has four league goals to his name this season

Sky Sports can reveal that the Eagles have launched a bid for Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar. A forward remains high on Roy Hodgson's priority as the former England manager hopes Babacar can share the workload with the likes of Christian Benteke and Wilfried Zaha. Babacar has four goals to his name this season and had netted ten in the previous season.

Liverpool linked with Alejandro Gomez

According to Tuttosport, Liverpool are ready to spend a chunk of their Philippe Coutinho funds on Atalanta playmaker Alejandro Gomez. Jurgen Klopp is reportedly impressed by Gomez's form this season and wants to bring the 29-year-old to Anfield this month.

Gomez has had a breakthrough season in Serie A so far and has already scored seven goals and delivered eight assists.

The former Chelsea man, Andre Schurrle has fallen out of favour at Borussia Dortmund this season. He has made just four Bundesliga appearances until now and wants a way out of this rut to be in contention for this year's World Cup.

Sky Italy reports that Inter Milan are set to offer the 27-year-old a lifeline by making a six-month loan offer for the forward. The Nerazzurri are looking to sign attackers this month and along with Schurrle, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Gerard Deulofeu are also being linked with a move to San Siro.

Arturo Vidal ignoring Chelsea rumours

Despite being linked with a €35 million move to Chelsea in recent weeks, Vidal has maintained that he remains focused on the task at hand and has no intentions of leaving the Bavarians. This should sound music to Jupp Heynckes' ears who is desperate to hold on to the Chilean's services this season.

Vidal was quoted by Sport as saying, "Yes, I've heard about it, but I'm fully focused on the season with Bayern and I'm only looking day-to-day. We're a great team and we have big goals. We want to win every trophy. That's what my focus is."

Real Madrid make contact with Eden Hazard

Reports in France have stated that Real Madrid have approached Eden Hazard's close circle as they look to step up with their chase for the Chelsea talisman. The Belgian forward is Madrid's top summer transfer target with Radio Montecarlo also reporting that Hazard has rejected two offers from the Blues for an extension.

Hazard has never denied his admiration for the Spanish giants and has wished to play under his 'idol', Zinedine Zidane. Chelsea are hoping to make Hazard sign a new deal and are prepared to make him the league's best-paid player in order to fend off Real Madrid's interest.

Arda Turan inching closer to Barcelona exit

Ahmed Bulut, Turan's agent has today confirmed that his client has accepted an offer from Basaksehir and will be leaving FC Barcelona soon. Turkish tabloids report that a deal in the region of €15 million is agreed between the two clubs.

Talking to Turkish TV, Bulut said, "Arda Turan wants to return to Istanbul, has reached an agreement with the Basaksehir and does not want to evaluate other proposals." Turan has not yet made a single appearance this season which has sparked his exit from the club.

Manchester United closing in on their first signing of the month

Jose Mourinho is finally set to receive a transfer boost in the form of Lucas Moura. The Daily Mirror understands that Paris Saint Germain have agreed to sell the Brazilian for a fee of £25 million as they look to cut short their wage bill.

A wide player is high on United's list and the player himself is said to be interested in donning United colours as soon as possible.

Javier Hernandez a target for Los Angeles FC

West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez is reportedly a January transfer target for MLS side, Los Angeles FC. London Evening Standard has reported that the Mexican hitman has failed to hit the ground running in London and is hence being linked with a move abroad.

This is Los Angeles FC's debut season in the first division and are looking to sign a marquee player in the coming few weeks.
