But the Daily Mirror has now reported that Real Madrid are ready to rekindle their interest in De Gea, their long-term goalkeeping target. Los Blancos need a keeper next summer and are now expected to go all out next summer for the Spaniard, making a world record bid in the process.

Juan Mata to reject Valencia's advances

According to Superdeporte, Juan Mata is ready to reject Valencia's offer to sign him for free next summer as the playmaker insists that his future lies at Old Trafford.

Mata has less than six months remaining on his current deal but the Spaniard is confident that United will offer him a year's extension to keep him in England.

Juventus eyeing free transfers for Mario Balotelli and Jack Wilshere

The masters of nabbing players for free - Juventus have identified two more players to improve their squad for the next season. The Sun reports that Juventus are confident of landing Jack Wilshere in the summer despite the Gunners offering him a new deal.

Arsenal have made a 20 percent pay cut in their new offer for Wilshere which has made Juventus confident that the player will reject the new offer from the North London side. Meanwhile, Mario Balotelli who has scored 17 goals for Nice this season is also on Juventus' radar and they want him back in Italy on a Bosman transfer.

Monchi seriously considering Chelsea's offer for the Roma duo

This week's advancements have made Chelsea favourites to sign Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri from AS Roma for a sum of around €50 million. Monchi, Roma's director of football has now confirmed that the duo may leave Italy this month.

Speaking to the press, Monchi revealed, "Whatever happens will be done thinking about what’s best for the club and the team. In my mind is always the desire to strengthen the squad, which is my job."

Arsenal are inching closer to cracking a deal for Borussia Dortmund's Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. According to Express, Ivan Gazidis, Arsenal's chief along with head scout Sven Mislantat were spotted in Dortmund to finalize a £53 million deal for the Gabonese hitman. Also, Aubameyang is set to become Arsenal's most expensive signing till date.

Schalke fans abuse Leon Goretzka

In Sunday's league game against Hannover, Schalke fans expressed their anger towards Leon Goretzka through a banner.

"Neither money nor trophies are worth more than our club. Anyone who does not appreciate that can f*** off immediately," read the explosive banner. Goretzka recently joined Bayern Munich on a free transfer which has angered the Schalke faithful.

Sky Sports claims that Liverpool are ready to let Daniel Sturridge leave this month with Inter Milan and Sevilla interested. The striker has struggled for playing time this season with Roberto Firmino being preferred by Jurgen Klopp.

It is reported that Sturridge wants to test himself in La Liga and has apprehensions about joining Inter Milan where he won't be the club's first choice striker because of the presence of Marco Icardi.

Chelsea still in the hunt for Peter Crouch

Despite Paul Lambert, Stoke City's manager, revealing that he has no intentions of selling Peter Crouch this month, Chelsea are confident of signing him in the coming week. Antonio Conte wants a towering striker in January and Crouch is one of the strikers on Conte's list, the Independent reports.

Manchester City hold talks with Fred

The Telegraph reports that Manchester City are close to agreeing a deal for Fred and have been in continuous negotiations with Shakhtar Donetsk. City's boardroom wants to have a deal wrapped up as soon as possible but will see the player play the rest of the season in Ukraine.

Fred, a defensive midfielder, is seen by Pep Guardiola as a replacement for the departing Yaya Toure who will now provide quality competition for Fernandinho next season. Meanwhile, Fred is set to cost Manchester City a whopping £40 million.

Toulouse sack Pascal Dupraz

The Ligue 1 strugglers have today sacked their manager, Pascal Dupraz. The decision was taken soon after Toulouse lost 2-1 against Montpellier last night. The western French side has now won just one game in their last 12 outings. The club has appointed his assistant Michael Debeve to take over the reins on a caretaker basis.
