Sergio Ramos hurts FC Barcelona in a big way

Thiago Alcantara is one of Barcelona's top target this summer. Senior players at the club have voiced their opinion over wanting the Spanish midfielder back at the club.

But it is believed that Real Madrid are also keen on signing Thiago and now have two major weapons in their artillery to complete this hijack - Sergio Ramos and Julen Lopetugui.

According to Don Balon, the new Real Madrid boss has instructed Spain and Real captain, Sergio Ramos, to persuade Thiago in rejecting Barcelona for a move to the capital.

Thiago has been a regular for Spain and Real Madrid believe that his good relationship with Ramos and Lopetegui will make him reject Barcelona's advances.

It has also been claimed that the Bayern Munich midfielder is miffed at the way Barcelona handled his departure in 2013 which has further boosted Ramos' chances of luring the creative player to the Bernabeu. He is viewed by many as Luka Modric's successor at the club.

Massimiliano Allegri reveals that he turned down the Real Madrid job

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has admitted that Real Madrid contacted him over the prospect of taking over from Zinedine Zidane.

After Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino, Real Madrid were keen on landing Allegri but were also turned down by the Italian.

Allegri was quoted by the Sun as saying, "I thanked Florentino Perez, who called me, but I had given my word to Juventus."
