Ajax v Manchester United - UEFA Europa League Final
Another blockbuster signing on his way to Manchester United?

Good evening and welcome to Sportskeeda's latest transfer news and rumours roundup. Despite the season now entering its business end, top clubs are also keeping their eyes open on potential transfer targets.

And as always, there are stories which make headlines irrespective of the transfer window being open or shut. Transfer world has been eerily silent today but we have still managed to get a bunch of stories that made headlines on March 27, 2018:

La Liga

Jose Mourinho contacts Samuel Umtiti

FC Barcelona are in danger of losing one of their integral members to Manchester United this summer. Sport has claimed that the wage disagreement between the club and Umtiti has reached an impasse. Umtiti wants to earn as much as €9 million per year, a figure which has not impressed the Barcelona hierarchy.

A €60 million release clause in Umtiti's contract has alerted Manchester United who have been quick to let their interest be known. It is believed that Jose Mourinho has personally called the Frenchman to ask him to join him at United and has promised to offer him the wage demands that he is looking for.

Luke Shaw on FC Barcelona's radar

In the most surprising transfer rumour of the day, FC Barcelona have identified Luke Shaw as a potential summer target. The Mirror has reported that Shaw's current condition at United has alerted Barcelona who wants to take the left back on board.

The Catalans are looking to sign a left back this summer as Lucas Digne is destined to leave the club in search of first-team football. With United desperate to offload Shaw, Barcelona may get their man at a cheap price.
