And as always, there are stories which make headlines irrespective of the transfer window being open or shut. Transfer world has been eerily silent today but we have still managed to get a bunch of stories that made headlines on March 27, 2018:

Jose Mourinho contacts Samuel Umtiti

FC Barcelona are in danger of losing one of their integral members to Manchester United this summer. Sport has claimed that the wage disagreement between the club and Umtiti has reached an impasse. Umtiti wants to earn as much as €9 million per year, a figure which has not impressed the Barcelona hierarchy.

A €60 million release clause in Umtiti's contract has alerted Manchester United who have been quick to let their interest be known. It is believed that Jose Mourinho has personally called the Frenchman to ask him to join him at United and has promised to offer him the wage demands that he is looking for.

Luke Shaw on FC Barcelona's radar

In the most surprising transfer rumour of the day, FC Barcelona have identified Luke Shaw as a potential summer target. The Mirror has reported that Shaw's current condition at United has alerted Barcelona who wants to take the left back on board.

The Catalans are looking to sign a left back this summer as Lucas Digne is destined to leave the club in search of first-team football. With United desperate to offload Shaw, Barcelona may get their man at a cheap price.

AS Roma keen on Matteo Kovacic

Monchi, AS Roma's man-in-charge, has made Real Madrid's Matteo Kovacic his prime summer target. Kovacic has not clocked regular minutes since his move to Spain and has reportedly realized the need to move to take the next step in his career.

Don Balon has reported that Roma are in the know-how about Madrid's need for funds for a major overhaul and are looking to take advantage of the situation.

Neymar wants Alisson Becker at Real Madrid

Another report from Don Balon has suggested that in order to accept an offer from Real Madrid, Neymar has demanded the Spanish club to sign AS Roma's Alisson Becker.

The PSG forward reportedly wants a big Brazilian entourage at the Bernabeu and has instructed his speculated future club to do the needful. Alisson is valued at around €60 million by the Giallorossi.

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund want Ralph Hasenhuttl

Roberto Firmino on Bayern Munich's radar

Talking on Sky Sports (as quoted by Liverpool Echo), Ian Wright has revealed that Bayern Munich will make a move for Liverpool's Roberto Firmino in the summer. The former Arsenal striker has tipped Firmino to return to the Bundesliga if Robert Lewandowski decides to join Real Madrid.

Wright said, "They are talking about Lewandowski to Real Madrid. If that happens Bayern will want Bobby Firmino." The Brazilian has scored 23 goals in all competitions this season and is a key member of Liverpool's unit.

Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich want Ralph Hasenhuttl

Both the German giants are on the lookout for a new manager next season. Bild has claimed that Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are now looking to appoint RB Leipzig's Ralph Hasenhuttl at the helm in the summer.

Hasenhuttl has done a tremendous job with Leipzig and has made them Champions League regulars in two years.

Manchester United to fight with Real Madrid and PSG for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

The Lazio midfielder has established himself as one of the most talked about central midfielders in Europe. With 11 goals and 7 assists to his name, Milinkovic-Savic is understandably on the radar of every top European club.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Manchester United are ready to rival Real Madrid and PSG for the signing of the 23-year-old. The Serbian has a contract with Lazio until 2023 and is valued at a staggering price of €150 million by the club owners.

West Ham United eyeing Marco Silva

The Express has reported that West Ham United are looking to assign Marco Silva the managerial duties from the next season. Silva has been on a sabbatical since he was sacked by Watford in January.

The current Hammers boss, David Moyes has a contract with West Ham until the end of the season. The London side currently sit 17th in the league table, just two points adrift of the relegation zone.

The Daily Mail understands that AS Monaco are the latest club to register an interest in United's out of contract midfielder. Fellaini will be a free agent in July and has so far denied signing a new contract with the Red Devils. Besiktas and PSG have already been linked with the Belgian in the recent past.

Lucian Favre to leave Nice at the end of the campaign

According to France Football, Lucian Favre is looking to leave Nice after the end of the current season. It is believed that both the parties are settling in for an amicable end with Favre set to pocket €3 million from his departure.

The former Hertha Berlin manager is being linked with the Borussia Dortmund job whereas there has also been an interest reported for the Swiss man from a number of Saudi Arabian clubs.
