Don Balon understands that Real Madrid have cooled their interest in Harry Kane for various reasons. First of all, Spurs' £200 million valuation of Kane seems exorbitant to Real Madrid. Secondly, Real chief Florentino Perez wants to utilize the funds to sign players such as Neymar and Mohamed Salah.

Real Madrid also believe that they do not need a traditional No.9 at the moment with Cristiano Ronaldo expected to play in that role from the next season.
