The reports suggest that Barcelona wants to keep hold of Coutinho despite the player not being able to fulfil his potential after joining Barcelona amid huge fanfare in the winter transfer window of 2018.

However, after some quality showings in his first half-season as a Barcelona player, he has not managed to keep his performance levels as high and has cut a frustrated figure in recent times.
