Following Paul Pogba's statements that confirmed his intention to leave Manchester United in the summer, the Red Devils have ramped up their pursuit for a talented midfielder who can hit the ground running at Old Trafford. And as of now, the Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes is their best bet.

Bruno Fernandes is reportedly available for £40 million and Manchester United are holding talks with the 24-year-old's agent. The Portuguese international scored a whopping 28 goals and provided 14 assists

Liverpool are also reportedly interested in Bruno Fernandes and have gone ahead and tabled a £40 million offer. However, his agent wants him to join Manchester United and the reports suggest that this will greatly tip the scales in the favour of the Old Trafford outfit.

Manchester United have a heavy rebuilding job to do and if Paul Pogba leaves, he will be the second first-team midfielder after Ander Herrera to depart from the club this summer.
